Our school building and grounds
The school is situated in open countryside just outside the village and is set in its own spacious grounds. These contain a wildlife conservation area, school garden, playing field, two hard surface play areas and an adventure play area with safety surface.
Monkey Puzzle Class (Class 1) have their own spacious and secure outdoor learning area.
The school has access to its own forest school site in local woodland, which provides outdoor learning opportunities for all our pupils.
The older Victorian building houses two classrooms, library, staff-room, office and toilet block. Over years the school has been sympathetically extended with the addition of a school hall, two large classrooms, a design and technology room and medical room.
School Values
Alongside the values which underpin our Vision Statement, we also follow a programme of Values Education which is delivered through Assemblies and PSHE lessons. Each month we focus on a different value so that the children develop a deep understanding of these values which, we hope, will contribute to their future well-being and development and help them to become happy and productive citizens. Our value of the month is published in our newsletter.
